Shipping Policy
At ICB Firearms, all firearm shipments are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local laws governing the sale and transfer of firearms. Because firearms are regulated products, specific procedures must be followed when shipping orders to ensure legal compliance and safe delivery. This Shipping Policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and transferred to customers.
Firearm Shipping Requirements
Federal law requires that firearms purchased online be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer for legal transfer. Firearms cannot be shipped directly to a customer’s home address. All firearms purchased through ICB Firearms must be delivered to a licensed FFL dealer where the customer will complete the required background check and transfer paperwork before taking possession of the firearm.
During checkout, customers must provide the information for their selected FFL dealer. Many dealers are already listed in national FFL databases used during checkout. If a dealer is not listed or not already on file, the dealer must provide a valid copy of their FFL license before the firearm can be shipped.
Customers are responsible for confirming that their chosen dealer is willing to receive and process the transfer. Transfer fees, background check fees, and any additional charges imposed by the receiving dealer are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the purchase price unless otherwise stated.
Order Processing
Orders placed through ICB Firearms are typically processed within 3–7 business days after payment has been successfully completed and the receiving FFL dealer has been verified. Orders placed outside of normal business hours may begin processing on the next business day.
Because ICB Firearms operates by appointment, order processing may occur during scheduled operating hours:
Monday: 9AM–6PM
Tuesday: 9AM–6PM
Wednesday: 9AM–6PM
Thursday: 9AM–6PM
Friday: 9AM–7PM
Saturday: 9AM–7PM
Sunday: 9AM–5PM
Orders may experience additional processing time during holidays, high order volume periods, or if FFL verification is delayed.
Shipping Carriers
Firearms and regulated firearm components are shipped through authorized carriers that permit firearm shipments under federal law. Common carriers used for firearm shipments include UPS and FedEx. Shipping methods are selected based on carrier policies, product type, and delivery requirements.
All shipments are packaged in accordance with industry safety standards and carrier requirements. Tracking information will typically be provided once the order has been shipped so customers and receiving FFL dealers can monitor delivery.
Adult Signature and Delivery Requirements
Firearm shipments require delivery to a licensed FFL dealer and must be accepted by authorized personnel at that location. Carriers may require an adult signature upon delivery to verify receipt by the licensed dealer.
Once the firearm has arrived at the FFL dealer, the dealer will contact the customer when the firearm is ready for transfer. Customers must complete the required ATF Form 4473 and background check before the firearm can be released.
State and Local Restrictions
Certain firearms, magazines, and firearm accessories may be restricted or prohibited in specific states or local jurisdictions. Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with the firearm laws that apply in their state or locality before placing an order.
If an order contains an item that cannot legally be shipped to the selected state, city, or jurisdiction, the order may be canceled or modified to comply with applicable laws. ICB Firearms reserves the right to cancel any order that violates firearm shipping regulations or legal restrictions.
Examples of restricted items may include high-capacity magazines, certain firearm configurations, or components regulated under state law. Regulations vary widely by location, and customers should verify legality prior to purchase.
Failed Background Checks or Refused Transfers
If a customer fails the background check required by the receiving FFL dealer, refuses the transfer, or is otherwise unable to legally take possession of the firearm, the firearm must be returned to ICB Firearms through the FFL dealer.
In these situations, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, dealer handling fees, and any applicable restocking charges. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
Lost or Damaged Shipments
If a shipment is lost or arrives damaged during transit, customers or the receiving FFL dealer should contact ICB Firearms as soon as possible. Shipping carriers may require documentation or an investigation before claims can be processed.
ICB Firearms will work with the carrier and the receiving dealer to resolve shipping issues and determine appropriate next steps.
