How returns, exchanges and refunds work at ICB Firearms, including firearms, online pickup orders, transfer fees and NFA items. Last updated November 1, 2026.
At ICB Firearms, all sales are conducted in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local firearm regulations. Customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, specifications, and legal requirements before completing a purchase. Because firearms and related items are regulated products, certain items cannot be returned once a transfer has been completed. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which returns, exchanges, or refunds may be considered.
All firearms, serialized receivers, and serialized firearm components are considered final sale items. Once a firearm has been transferred to a customer through a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer and the background check has been completed, the transaction is considered final and the firearm cannot be returned for a refund or exchange.
Customers should carefully review the firearm model, caliber, configuration, and specifications prior to completing their purchase. If a firearm arrives at the selected FFL dealer and the customer decides not to complete the transfer for reasons unrelated to product defects, the firearm must be returned to ICB Firearms through the receiving FFL dealer. Any return shipping costs, FFL handling fees, and applicable restocking charges will be the responsibility of the customer.
In cases where a firearm is returned due to a refused transfer or failed background check, the original shipping costs are non-refundable. Additional administrative or restocking fees may apply depending on the condition of the firearm and the costs associated with the return process.
Firearms bought on icbfirearms.com can be picked up at our St. Clair Shores shop by appointment, with no transfer fee. The same rules apply as for any firearm sale: once the background check is complete and the firearm has been transferred to you, the sale is final.
Before your pickup appointment, make sure you can legally take possession. Bring a valid, unexpired Michigan driver’s license or state ID with your current address. Handgun buyers must be 21 or older and bring a Michigan CPL or a License to Purchase. Long gun buyers must be 18 or older.

FFL transfers for firearms bought elsewhere and shipped to ICB Firearms are $40 per firearm. NFA transfers are $125 per item. Transfer fees are non-refundable if a background check is denied. There is no transfer fee when you buy the item from ICB Firearms.
NFA items need ATF approval before they can be transferred. Your NFA item stays at ICB Firearms while ATF reviews your application, and it is released only after approval and completion of the transfer paperwork.
NFA transfers for items not bought from ICB Firearms are $125 per item. Kiosk use / Silencer Shop form processing is an additional $40, and trust processing is an additional $30 for each responsible person.
If ATF denies an application, ATF refunds any NFA tax you paid, since the taxable event is the transfer, not the application. If you move out of state before your application is approved, the application has to be withdrawn and the item sent to a dealer in your new state, where you resubmit the application.

If a firearm arrives with a verified manufacturer defect or damage that occurred during shipping, the customer should notify ICB Firearms as soon as possible. Customers should inspect the firearm at the receiving FFL dealer before completing the transfer whenever possible.
If damage or a defect is identified prior to completing the transfer, the receiving dealer should contact ICB Firearms to report the issue. In many cases, firearm manufacturers require warranty claims to be handled directly through the manufacturer. When this occurs, customers may need to contact the manufacturer to initiate warranty service, repair, or replacement.
ICB Firearms will assist in facilitating communication when necessary, although final warranty determinations are made by the manufacturer.
Non-serialized products such as firearm accessories, optics, magazines (where legal), cleaning supplies, and other equipment may be eligible for return under certain conditions.

Shipping charges associated with the original purchase are non-refundable unless the return is due to a verified shipping error made by ICB Firearms.
Customers should contact ICB Firearms before sending any product back for return. Unauthorized returns may be refused and returned to the sender.
