The Safariland Model 6390RDS is an open-top duty holster specifically designed to accommodate firearms equipped with red dot sights. It features Safariland's Automatic Locking System (ALS), an internal locking mechanism that secures the weapon in all directions without the use of straps or snaps. Once holstered, the firearm locks into place automatically. The ALS is deactivated with the thumb, allowing a straight-up draw.
The 6390RDS uses a mid-ride belt loop that sits 1.5 inches lower than a standard belt loop, positioning the holster closer to the body. The interior is lined with suede to help protect the firearm's sights and finish.
