The Daniel Defense M4A1 Upper Receiver Group is a high-quality component designed for serious users. It features the M4A1 Rail Interface System (RIS II), used by US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) for the SOPMOD II Weapons System since 2005. This innovative two-piece, free-floating rail system supports the mounting of devices, such as the M203 grenade launcher, without affecting barrel harmonics, thus maintaining accuracy.
The two-piece design of the RIS II allows for easy cleaning around the barrel without full disassembly. The system uses a sturdy bolt-up mechanism with six grade 8 bolts, ensuring the barrel remains completely free-floating for optimal accuracy and dependability. This upper receiver group is finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) for enhanced durability and aesthetic appeal.
