The Patriot Ordnance Factory Revolution 01666 is a CA-compliant semi-automatic rifle chambered in .308 Winchester and 7.62x51mm NATO, featuring a 16.5-inch match-grade chrome-moly barrel with 5R button rifling, polygonal rifling, and a Nitride finish. The rifle is built on a direct impingement (DI) platform and incorporates POF's patented E2 dual-extraction technology, which uses four small channels cut into the chamber walls to allow gas pressure to act against the neck of the spent case during extraction.

The Revolution DI is equipped with a 9-position adjustable Dictator gas block paired with a straight gas tube, allowing the shooter to tune the operating speed of the rifle. The Renegade rail provides a mounting platform along the handguard. The action uses a non-adjustable single-stage trigger and a mil-spec aluminum anti-tilt buffer tube. The buffer tube features carrier cradle extensions designed to keep the bolt carrier supported by the buffer tube and includes three drain holes.
