The PROOF Research PXT carbon fiber barrel blank is a high-performance solution for custom rifle builders and gunsmiths seeking precision and durability. This 20-inch barrel, designed for .243 caliber rifles, features PROOF's innovative Exponential Twist (PXT) technology, which redefines rifling geometry to minimize throat erosion and improve the transition of the projectile into the rifling. This engineering advancement results in increased barrel life—demonstrated to extend by 30-100%—while maintaining the accuracy standards that PROOF barrels are known for.
With a shank diameter of 1.20 inches and a barrel breech of 2.5 inches, this Sendero contour barrel blank is ideal for creating lightweight hunting rifles, precision long-range systems, and other high-performance builds. The carbon fiber construction ensures an exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, reducing overall rifle weight without compromising performance. Available from ICB Firearms, where fast nationwide shipping and local pickup in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, are options.
