The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 is a 9mm Luger pistol built on a billet aluminum receiver platform designed for compatibility with AR-15 accessories and Glock-type magazines. This configuration features a 10-inch black nitride steel barrel and a 31+1 round capacity.

Construction and Materials

The FX-9 receiver is machined from billet aluminum and finished with a Type III anodize. Steel components — including the barrel, bolt, ejector, last round hold open, feed ramp, and extractor — receive a full hard black nitride treatment for wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The receiver features a black anodized aluminum Picatinny rail.
