The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 (Model FX9P8SBM) is a 9mm Luger pistol built on a billet aluminum receiver with a Type III hard anodized finish. The FX-9 platform is designed to be modular, with lower receivers threaded to accept mil-spec buffer tubes and compatibility with a wide range of AR-15 accessories.

This configuration features an 8-inch steel barrel with a black nitride finish. Steel components throughout—including the barrel, bolt, ejector, last round hold-open, feed ramp, and extractor—receive a full hard black nitride treatment. The receiver is constructed from billet aluminum with a black anodized Picatinny rail upper. The pistol ships with a black SB Mini Brace installed on a pistol receiver extension.
