The Ruger SR1911 Commander is a 1911 Series 70 chambered in .45 ACP, featuring a 4.25-inch stainless steel barrel and stainless steel slide with a low-glare finish. The anodized aluminum grip frame contributes to an overall weight of 29.3 oz. Overall length is 7.75 inches.
The SR1911 Commander uses a CNC-machined slide-to-frame fit. The stainless steel barrel and bushing are machined from the same bar stock. An oversized ejection port and extended magazine release are included, along with a skeletonized trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop. The oversized beavertail grip safety, extended thumb safety, and slide stop lever are also part of the design.
The pistol ships with two 7-round stainless steel magazines and a bushing wrench. It accepts standard aftermarket 1911 parts and accessories.
